This busy Dad with 2 active kids had had it with a visually cluttered and dark living space. Unsure how to tackle the project, client called Lois and things started to change. Working side-by-side with the contractor, the “stair-step” office enclosure was removed, mismatched hardwood floors were properly matched and refinished including new base boards, interior walls were painted a to coordinate with new furnishings, a new front door stained and installed and new window treatments were added to allow filtered light as well as privacy. After a decision was made on one of several room layouts submitted by Lois, new furniture, artwork, area rugs and accessories were purchased and artfully arranged. The result? A lighter, brighter updated space that nods to the family’s love of sand and sea with a big leather papa-bear chair for Dad and upholstered pieces that will stand the test of time as the kids grow!
